The Graphic Design Temp will work closely with the graphics team to create new templates and update existing design files in order to adhere to the Conservancy’s visual identity and brand guidelines. S/he will design print and digital materials, including brochures, rack cards, accessible PDFs, and digital graphics.
Role Details
Candidates must have strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of branding practices to ensure a consistent visual identity that effectively represents the organization.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
• Review current materials, including brochures, maps, newsletters, signage, and digital graphics and update layouts and design to adhere to the Conservancy’s new brand guidelines
• Work closely with the Associate Director of Graphic Design to ensure that all materials follow the Conservancy’s brand guidelines
• Manage simultaneous projects through the planning, design, and editing process
• Collaborate with the communications team and internal stakeholders to ensure updated materials meet business objectives
• Work closely with content developers on updating copy, images, and other assets
• Work with Conservancy designers on stakeholder approvals and edits
Skill/Attributes Required
Minimum Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree, preferably on graphic design or fine art
• 5-10 years of work experience in graphic design
• Strong understanding of brand practices and ability to uphold brand and style guidelines
• Expert knowledge in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent interpersonal skills, works well within a team and independently
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize work within tight deadlines
• Proficient in Word, Power Point, and SharePoint
• Strong layout skills and knowledge of typography
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of photo retouching
• Knowledge of print production
