Claudine Wong has been named weekday evening anchor for Oakland Fox owned station KTVU Fox 2.
Wong will co-anchor the station’s 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside Mike Mibach.
“As a Bay Area native who has reported the news here for 20 years, Claudine is uniquely qualified to deliver the stories that truly matter to our viewers in a way that will resonate with them,” said vice president and news director Simone Aponte. “Claudine’s dedication to quality journalism has prepared her to tackle the challenges of the digital age in this new role.”
Wong has been with KTVU since 2003. She’s been the weekend anchor since 2011 and was a reporter before that. Prior to joining the station, Wong was a reporter and anchor for WNDU in South Bend, Indiana. She began her career in broadcasting as Bureau Chief for KDKF and KDRV, the ABC affiliate in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
