Crystal Martinez Named Co-Anchor of WDAF Morning Newscast

Crystal Martinez has been named a permanent anchor on the Fox4 Morning News team for Kansas City Fox affiliate WDAF.
Martinez will officially co-anchor the 9 and 12 p.m. newscasts alongside Abby Eden, Pat McGonigle, Nick Vasos and the rest of the morning team, while continuing to contribute across the 5 to 8 a.m. hours.
“Crystal has brought incredible heart and enthusiasm to our team from the very beginning,” said Tracy Brogden Miller, Fox4 vice president and general manager. “Her experience, professionalism, and genuine personality make her the perfect fit to carry our morning coverage forward.”
Martinez joined the station in March 2024 as anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast. Before that, she was an anchor at KNWA in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and began her career at KXII in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
“We’re excited for Crystal to join the morning team,” said Fox4 anchor Abby Eden. “Her energy and kindness are infectious!”
