Dunkin’ and reality show Love Island USA coupled up to drop a bombshell in the world of breakfast.
A month after the Love Island USA reunion show, Dunkin’ and agency Juxtapose brought together three of the couples from season 6 to plug its new $6 meal deal.
The Instagram video earned more than 623,000 likes in just 24 hours, the second highest engagement of any piece of content on the chain’s page.
The film shows JaNa Craig, Leah Kateb, and Serena Page, the trio nicknamed the Powerpuff Girls, hanging out and talking about how their boyfriends bring them breakfast every morning.
The guys — Kordell Beckham, Miguel Harichi, and Kenny Rodriguez — gather at a Dunkin’ to order the $6 meal deal, which includes a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, hash browns, and a medium hot or iced coffee. They call the combo “an iconic breakfast trio for our iconic trio.”
“As fans of Love Island USA, we noticed something fun — whether it was the guys whipping up breakfast to impress or just getting ready to fuel up for the day’s antics, breakfast was a central part of their routine,” Dunkin’ CMO Jill McVicar Nelson told ADWEEK. “When we launched our biggest breakfast deal ever, teaming up with the Islanders felt like the perfect match.”
The guys deliver the food to their girlfriends, prompting some sultry eating as they feed each other bites and suggestively sip iced coffee.
Dunkin’ also marked the partnership by releasing some themed merchandise: two T-shirts available through ShopDunkin.com
“Filming with the Islanders was a blast,” McVicar said. “They brought the same energy and playful spirit from the villa right onto the set. The chemistry was electric, and really leaned into the humor of it all.”
The collaboration with Love Island is a departure for Dunkin’, which typically partners with Ben Affleck.
Love Island USA is currently the No. 1 reality series in the United States across all streaming services as well as Peacock’s most-watched original series by minutes.
