Fox News Turns the Calendar From Turkeys to Christmas Trees
The weather outside may have been frightful ahead of Thanksgiving, but the Fox News crew sought to warm hearts with the network’s fifth annual All-American Christmas Tree Lighting. Held the week before Turkey Day on Friday, Nov. 22, the event took place outside of FNC’s midtown Manhattan headquarters and featured a bevy of the network’s star talent.
Watch a clip of the tree lighting below:
The tree itself was lit by the co-hosts of The Five, including Dana Perino, Jesse Watters, Tyrus, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov. Many of their family members joined them, with the hosts introducing their tykes to each other and to viewers at home.
Singer Gavin DeGraw was on hand to provide the holiday soundtrack.
Other special guests included Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Rabbi Steven Berg, and Rev. Jacques DeGraff.
Additionally, Pirro and her co-hosts took a moment to mourn FDNY EMS Lieutenant Anthony Cozzino, who passed away from cancer in September. The 9/11 first responder is survived by his wife, Lori, and their three children, who were interviewed during the show.
If you missed the televised lighting, you can see the tree itself in Fox Square throughout the rest of December. And then you can head down the block to scope out the always on-point tree game put on annually at Rockefeller Center—home of NBC News.
