Here’s How to Watch Coverage of the Los Angeles Wildfires

Stunning images of the Los Angeles wildfires that aired across TV screens on Tuesday night have helped bring attention to the unfolding calamity in Southern California.

Homes and businesses in the path of the fires have turned into ashes. Their rapid spread was brought on by the Santa Ana winds, which pummeled the area with gusts of up to 100 mph. Abandoned vehicles were strewn across roads as residents sought safety on foot as many of the emergency exit arteries were clogged up with vehicular traffic.

The billowing smoke from the four confirmed Los Angeles fires can be seen for miles, and two deaths have been attributed to the fires so far. Officials have said that the Pacific Palisades fire, in particular, is one of the most destructive in the city’s history.

News networks are responding to the unfolding tragedy by deploying additional crew and resources to their West Coast teams. Here’s your guide to their continuing coverage. (All times Eastern)

ABC News

• World News Tonight anchor David Muir will be reporting on the ground in California, along with chief meteorologist and chief climate correspondent Ginger Zee. They will also be joined by chief national correspondent Matt Gutman, ABC News Live anchor and correspondent Kayna Whitworth, correspondent Mola Lenghi, multiplatform reporter Jaclyn Lee, and Radio correspondent Alex Stone. 
• Muir will anchor a special edition of WNT from California on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. 

CBS News

• CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil is in California and will join Norah O’Donnell on the CBS Evening News on Wednesday night.
• Dokoupil will anchor CBS Mornings from California on Thursday morning. Joining him in covering the wildfires is LA-based correspondent Carter Evans.

CNN

• Anderson Cooper is reporting from Altadena, California. Natasha Chen, Nick Watt, and Stephanie Elam are also on the ground, and Bill Weir will join them soon.

Fox News

• Trace Gallagher has been anchoring his nightly show live from California since Tuesday night and will do so again on Wednesday. He’ll be joined by correspondents William La Jeunesse, Jonathan Hunt, Matt Finn, and Fox Business correspondent and former volunteer firefighter Max Gorden.
• On Wednesday night, Fox News @ Night will air from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., followed by Bill Melugin anchoring from Fox News’ L.A. bureau from 12:30-4 a.m. Fox & Friends First will begin an hour earlier at 4 a.m., while Fox Weather will simulcast FNC’s coverage from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

NBC News

• NBC News has a team of correspondents in the area, including Dana Griffin, Liz Kreutz,  Jacob Soboroff, and Steve Patterson, as well as NBC News national climate reporter Chase Cain and NBC News Now anchor Gadi Schwartz. Meteorologist Dylan Dreyer will also be joining the crew on the ground in Los Angeles.

NewsNation

• National correspondents Nancy Loo, Xavier Walton, and Brian Entin are reporting live from Pacific Palisades. Meanwhile, Rich McHugh will offer additional updates on the conditions and resources for firefighters. 
• Washington correspondent Kellie Meyer will be delivering updates on the response from the White House. NewsNation will also utilize its local Nexstar affiliate KTLA-TV for additional on-the-ground live reporting.

Spectrum News

• Spectrum News 1 in Southern California will continue to provide ongoing live coverage throughout the evening and into Thursday as fire and weather conditions develop. Spectrum News 1 anchor Amrit Singh will anchor the evening news, featuring check-ins from reporters near the fire sites.

The Weather Channel

• The network is offering extended coverage with correspondent Justin Michaels reporting live from Los Angeles. TWC’s live coverage, Live: Catastrophic Fire and Ice, will extend from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
