Here’s How to Watch Donald Trump’s Inauguration

President-elect Donald Trump is set to begin his second term in the Oval Office on Monday, Jan. 20. 

The Inauguration Day ritual will attract considerable attention as Trump returns to office with a tighter grasp on the various branches of power. In addition to Republican control of the House and Senate, he also has a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.

News outlets are devoting considerable resources to covering the presidential transition from President Joe Biden to Trump, which will unfold during one of the coldest days of the current winter season.

ABC News

  • Inauguration coverage starts with a special edition of Good Morning America at 7 a.m., followed at 9 a.m. by a day-long Special Report led by David Muir from Washington, D.C. Muir will also anchor a special edition of World News Tonight at 6:30 p.m. and a primetime special at 10 p.m.

  • C-SPAN will carry uninterrupted live Inauguration Day coverage beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing through the evening’s various inaugural balls.

  • Becky Quick will anchor the network’s coverage, joined by a roster of investors that includes Stanley Druckenmiller and Walter Isaacson
  • Washington, D.C. correspondents Eamon Javers, Emily Wilkins, and Megan Cassella will participate in special programming along with Steve Liesman and Robert Frank.

CNN

  • CNN’s coverage will led by anchors Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper, along with Dana Bash, Kaitlan Collins, John King, Abby Phillip, Jamie Gangel, and Audie Cornish from 7 a.m.

  • Blake Burman will anchor inauguration coverage beginning at 9 a.m..  The swearing-in ceremony will be co-anchored by Chris Cuomo, Chris Stirewalt, Elizabeth Vargas, and Leland Vittert and air from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cuomo will host a two-hour edition of his eponymous primetime show starting at 8 p.m.
  • Correspondents Kellie Meyer, Joe Khalil, Tom Dempsey, Libbey Dean, Robert Sherman, and Elina Shirazi will be stationed across the nation’s capital. George Will, Mick Mulvaney, Scott Bolden, Lauren Wright, and Chris Hahn are among the contributors providing commentary throughout the day.
