How the Various News Networks Are Covering the Alaska Summit

A high-stakes summit is taking place on Friday in Anchorage, Alaska, between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The talks, held without Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, center on bringing to an end the war in Ukraine, which has been ongoing since February 2022.
The broadcast and cable news networks have dispatched their on-air talent to the most northern state in the U.S. and are providing special coverage of the summit throughout the day, including the latest developments and any fallout from the meeting between two of the world’s most important leaders.
Here are their respective coverage plans. (All times Eastern):
ABC News
David Muir will lead reporting from New York, joined from Alaska by Martha Raddatz, Mary Bruce, and Rachel Scott. Additional reporting will come from Jonathan Karl, Ian Pannell, James Longman, and Whit Johnson, with contributions from Steve Ganyard and Mark Updegrove. Coverage will air on ABC and ABC News Live.

Special extended coverage of Balance of Power will air from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., anchored by Joe Mathieu from Washington, D.C., with contributions from Annmarie Hordern in Alaska and Vonnie Quinn in New York, along with numerous guest appearances.
CBS News
John Dickerson, Margaret Brennan, Nancy Cordes, and Willie James Inman will be in Anchorage providing coverage for the network. Debra Patta will report from London, with contributions from Ambassador John Sullivan, Samantha Vinograd, and Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster. The network will provide special reports on CBS and its streaming network, CBS News 24/7.

Comprehensive special coverage starts at 2:30 p.m. Jake Tapper, Kaitlan Collins, Jim Sciutto, Matthew Chance, and Kristen Holmes will be live in Anchorage. Nick Paton Walsh will be in Ukraine, Fred Pleitgen in Moscow, and Clarissa Ward in London. Anderson Cooper will be joined by Abby Phillip, John King, and Nic Robertson, along with Jeff Zeleny, Arlette Saenz, Natasha Bertrand, Kylie Atwood, and Evan Perez in Washington, D.C. Daniel Dale will join to fact-check, and Fareed Zakaria will provide insights and analysis.

Live, uninterrupted coverage begins at 2 p.m. with John McCardle hosting and Jennifer Wistrand, a Russia-Ukraine analyst, discussing the summit.
Fox News
Special live coverage of the summit begins at 3 p.m., co-anchored by Bret Baier in Anchorage and Martha MacCallum in New York. Baier will also host his 6 p.m. show live from Anchorage, and he will interview Trump on Air Force One on the trip to and from Alaska. Brian Kilmeade will host two hours of special live coverage at 7 p.m., with senior White House correspondents Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy reporting from Anchorage. Finally, Sean Hannity will host Hannity in Anchorage Friday and interview Trump following the summit.
MSNBC
MSNBC Reports will feature live reporting from Alaska, as well as foreign affairs experts. Jen Psaki will host a special two-hour edition of The Briefing With Jen Psaki at 8 p.m.
NBC News
Tom Llamas will anchor NBC Nightly News from Alaska and will be joined by Peter Alexander, Garrett Haake, and Monica Alba. NBC News will air special coverage on the network and NBC News Now as warranted throughout the day, with additional coverage on NBCNews.com.
