A month before the 2023 NewFronts, the Interactive Advertising Bureau has set the final schedule.
Similar to the 2022 NewFronts event, this year’s advertiser showcase, taking place May 1-4, will feature a hybrid format, with in-person and virtual viewing options for all four days.
Unlike years past, however, one full day will have a single set location for in-person activities, with presentations taking place at Convene at 225 Liberty Street in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, May 3. Maria Menounos will host the Wednesday events, returning for the first time since 2021. She takes over from Peloton’s Alex Touissant, who hosted in 2022.
New presenters for the day include Americano Media, CafeMedia, DirecTV, LA TV, Revry and Teads.
High-profile brands opting not to participate in the 2023 event include Twitter, Tubi and Dotdash Meredith.
“With more opportunities than ever, the 2023 IAB NewFronts is the best opportunity to gather buyers and sellers to talk about growth, innovation and the state of the industry,” said David Cohen, CEO, IAB, in a statement. “This year, we asked buyers about which diverse media companies they wanted to hear from, and they suggested: Blavity, Cocina and Urban One.”
Other in-person presenters, who chose their own locations and produced their own events, include YouTube (a presenting sponsor), Vizio, Amazon, Snap, Roku, Peacock and TikTok.
“The growth of ad-supported platforms means that consumers and media buyers have more choices than ever,” said Eric John, vp of media center at IAB, in a statement. “No one should be taking last year’s approach to this year’s NewFronts.”
