For advertisers, retail media’s biggest selling point is the customer data to get ads in front of the right people and determine whether an ad led to sales.

Through demand-side platforms like The Trade Desk, advertisers can use that data to target shoppers from retailers like Walmart, Albertsons, Best Buy, and Instacart. The Trade Desk is the largest independent DSP that advertisers use to buy digital ads. According to a leaked document viewed by ADWEEK, The Trade Desk works with 49 retailers in this capacity, including 24 in North America, 15 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and 10 in Asia-Pacific.
