Longtime Philadelphia Anchor Tracy Davidson Leaving the Station Later This Year

WCAU anchor Tracy Davidson told viewers last night that she is leaving the Philadelphia NBC owned station later this year.

“As I approach my 30th year at NBC10, I have been reflecting on the past and imagining the future,” Davidson partially wrote in an email obtained by TVSpy. “It is with a full heart that I share this news: later this fall, I will be stepping away from the anchor desk to focus full time on my public speaking work.”

Davidson joined NBC10 in March 1996 and has served as both a weekday anchor and consumer reporter with NBC10 Responds.

In 2013, Temple University honored Tracy with the Lew Klein Alumni in Media Award. She was recognized with Pennsylvania’s Most Powerful and Influential Women Award by the National and Pennsylvania Diversity Council. In 2014, she was inducted into Philadelphia’s Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame. In 2017, Tracy was awarded with the Hero Award from Montgomery Child Advocacy project.
