We’re looking for a junior graphic designer to work in a remote freelancing role supporting our growing branding agency. We’re a small but mighty agency based in Brisbane, Australia, specialising in all things branding, from design consultancy and strategy, to logos, identities and websites.

Who we’re looking for:
You are a junior designer with a passion for all things creative. You love brands, and the process of bringing a brand to life from start to finish.
You ideally have 1-2 years experience working in a similar role, preferably with a background in branding. Or if you are justing getting started you have a great portfolio of personal projects that you can share with us.
You are an exceptional communicator who is always reliable. You enjoy working in collaboration with others, are open to honing new skills, taking feedback on board with an enthusiasm to learn!
You have an appreciation and eye for detail, working to high standard with a motivation to further develop your skills.
What’s the role:
As a junior designer in a supporting role you will be getting heavily involved in helping with our internal branding and marketing. You will also be helping create assets that will be provided to clients as part of their branding packages.
The role will include:
– Generating branded social media content for Red Kite’s social media portfolios
– Creating high fidelity mock ups and brand presentations on Red Kite’s social media pages and website case studies
– Assisting with the creation of brand style guides for clients
– Assisting with the creation of brand assets for clients including everything from print materials (e.g. business cards and stationery) to digital materials (e.g. social media kits and email signatures)
Learning opportunities:
– As well as the work you are given you will get an opportunity to see our branding process in full swing, learning about how we bring an identity to life
– You will be able to view briefs, having the opportunity to practice your skills on real projects
– You will be working directly with our founder, Chris, who is happy to answer any questions you might have about the industry and our processes
– We’re a friendly bunch who will always be happy to help you hone your skills
Skill/Attributes Required
– 1-2 years working in a similar role with branding experience is a bonus, but not essential
– Must be an exceptional communicator (very important, especially given the remote nature of the role)
– Must be reliable and motivated
– Must be friendly and enthusiastic
– Ability to work efficiently to timelines supplied
– Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the tasks you are given
– Very strong attention to detail
– Proficient in the full Adobe Suite (Photoshop, XD, InDesign & Illustrator)
– Have good understanding of briefs and the need to adapt to the clients needs rather than personal tastes
