Coordinating feedback, edits, and opinions from multiple stakeholders has always been something that brings productivity to a halt. Finding everyone out of the office and having to work from home can be a big barrier to smooth creative collaboration.

With the new normal upon us, many creative teams have found themselves facing the new challenges posed by remote work, something that hasn’t escaped Corel’s attention as its users swap the office for a home setup.

The creative powerhouse is giving individual users and corporate accounts the flexibility they need to stay productive during this time with a number of new, limited-time initiatives in place from now until at least May 31, 2020. Customers with a license can now install their software again on a second at-home machine, so there’s no need to purchase another license or subscription to support their new setup. Corel’s also offering all CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2019 and 2020 users access to the new web-based collaboration features recently introduced in CorelDRAW.app, relieving much of the stress designers face in remaining connected to co-workers and clients when current events are keeping us all apart.

These new collaboration features made their debut earlier this spring in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 and it seems they couldn’t have come at a more needed time. Now acting as a central hub to share CorelDRAW files with clients and contributors, CorelDRAW.app introduces a complete workflow that bridges the gap between collaborating with your design team and collaborating with your final approvers and clients. It does all this right within the designer’s original file with no need to convert formats, create PDFs, or depend on third-party tools.

A perfect solution then to the challenges posed by remote creation, especially when coming with much-needed license flexibility.

If you’re not already a CorelDRAW 2019 or 2020 customer and you’d like to access the new collaboration capabilities, they’re also available as part of the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 15-day free trial for either Mac or Windows. You can also learn more about the changes Corel has made to help users during the COVID-19 situation by visiting their site at www.coreldraw.com/covid-19-update.

Corel is Collaboration

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite’s new collaboration features aim to help agencies and studios save time and screen space by collecting feedback from one or many reviewers in one central place — the design file itself. Designers can respond to, resolve feedback, and add annotations of their own, keeping the entire team updated together.

Collaborators can access the shared design files and make suggestions and remarks by signing into CorelDRAW.app as a guest or with a Corel customer account on any device. These new tools make it simple to keep everyone literally on the same page.

Corel is Creation

Easy collaboration will liberate designers in much the same way as the new tools in CorelDRAW 2020 give them creative freedom. Many of these updates leverage the power of artificial intelligence to make a time-saving impact on the way graphics pros work.

When designing with photographic elements, AI-based upsampling options create high-quality results for enlarging images, resulting in clean edges, sharpness, and fine details. And when it comes to converting bitmap images to vector objects, the updated PowerTRACE tool takes advantage of machine learning to produce smoother, more accurate results, faster than ever.  See that in action here.

Creatives can also quickly and accurately select an image thanks to the new Smart Selection Mask that intelligently expands the selection by finding edges. Type also gets easier, with added support for OpenType variable fonts that let you interactively fine-tune a font’s appearance.

You’ll be able to achieve a wide range of unique looks all from a single font. Plus, designers can give 3D depth to any design element, as the new Inner Shadow tool masterfully applies inner shadows to graphics.

With CorelDRAW, you’ll see your ideas come to life with the precision you need as a creative pro, and sharing it easier than ever before.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 for Windows and CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 for Mac come at the subscription price of $249 USD/€349/£299 per year. Perpetual licenses are available at a suggested retail price (SRP) of $499 USD/€719/£599. European and UK prices include VAT.

Note that changes by CorelDRAW in response to the current global situation are in place until May 31, 2020. As Corel’s response evolves, they will continue to make updates on their website.
