Revolving Door Round-Up: Adrienne Roark Moves From CBS News to Tegna

CBS News departure: Broadcast news executive Adrienne Roark has left CBS News for the local TV station group Tegna Inc., where she will be their chief content officer. At CBS News, Roark was president of editorial and newsgathering, a role she held since August 2024. She also managed CBS-owned stations in New York and Boston, launched weather across the network, and led the group’s data journalism team.
Her departure from CBS News comes at a perilous time for the network as its parent company, Paramount Global, is awaiting final approval for its merger with Skydance Media, dealing with a 60 Minutes lawsuit brought on by President Donald Trump, and relaunched its CBS Evening News franchise, which is struggling to find its footing.
CBS News declined to comment when TVNewser reached out for a statement, and the network has not announced who will replace Roark.
New digital chief: CNBC has named Spriha Srivastava vice president and executive editor of digital for international. Srivastava, who starts in May, was previously Business Insider’s U.K. bureau chief and the international executive editor. Based in London, she will report to CNBC International president Deep Bagchee, lead digital teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, and oversee the editorial direction of all digital content for CNBC International.
Upwards at CNN: Marshall Cohen has been promoted to senior reporter at CNN. Cohen, who joined the network in 2015, was previously a reporter for the network and has covered numerous stories, including President Donald Trump’s two impeachments, the fallout from the January 6 insurrection, Hunter Biden’s criminal cases, and the historic Fox-Dominion defamation lawsuit. He will continue to be based in Washington, D.C.
