Revry Names Sydney Walz as New Head of Marketing
Revry, an LGBTQ+ streaming platform, has named Sydney Walz as its new head of marketing.
The company announced the news on Friday, noting that Walz will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies, looking to broaden Revry’s reach and engagement. Presenting at NewFronts in 2024, the company highlighted some of its current footprint by showcasing its PrismRiot ad network, which allows brands to purchase programmatically for LGBTQ+ content and has a reach spanning over 110 million in the U.S.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sydney to the Revry family,” Damian Pelliccione, CEO and co-founder of Revry, said in a statement. “Her deep understanding of queer culture combined with her proven expertise in performance marketing makes her the ideal leader to help us achieve our ambitious growth goals as we continue to celebrate and empower queer voices globally.”
Walz has more than eight years of experience in the technology and media sectors, previously supporting the launch of Meta’s We the Culture initiative as a product marketing communications manager. The executive also had previous roles at Akkio and Influential.
“I am honored to join Revry at such an exciting time in its growth journey,” Walz said. “I am passionate about connecting diverse audiences with meaningful content that represents our community. I look forward to leveraging my experience to elevate Revry’s brand narrative and expand its reach while staying true to its mission of empowering queer voices worldwide.”
The news comes months after Revry announced the appointment of Daniel Schnider as the new head of business development and distribution partnerships. Before joining Revry, Schnider served as director of distribution and strategic partnerships at TelevisaUnivision. There, the executive led partnerships for ViX.
