Streaming Ratings, Week of June 9: Two Weeks at No. 1 for Ginny and Georgia
Ginny and Georgia, the mother-daughter Netflix dramedy series, has held on to the top spot for the second week in a row in Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of June 9.
Starring Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry, the original series maintained engagement, dropping 20 million viewing minutes from the previous week to stand at 2.86 billion minutes viewed, with season three accounting for 69% of total watch time during the recorded week.
According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, Ginny and Georgia join other Netflix titles, Squid Game and The Night Agent, as being the only ones to put up consecutive weeks with over 2 billion viewing minutes in 2025.
This week’s chart had five titles with over a billion viewing minutes, with Netflix accounting for four of those titles. The streamer also had the most titles in the chart, with six, two of which had shared distribution rights.
In second place was Netflix’s Blindspot, with the series having 1.869 billion minutes viewed. Two other Netflix titles occupied the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, with the series Animal Kingdom having 1.403 billion viewing minutes and the Tyler Perry movie Straw earning 1.201 billion viewing minutes, respectively.
In fifth place was the reality series from Peacock, Love Island USA, which continues to draw in audiences week-to-week, as it had 1.091 billion viewing minutes.
Last week’s runner-up, Prime Video’s The Accountant 2, slid to the No. 6 position with 860 million minutes viewed. It was followed by the Hulu and Netflix shared Grey’s Anatomy, which jumped two spots to land in seventh place with 824 million viewing minutes.
Disney+’s Bluey dropped two spots to No. 8 with 814 million minutes viewed. The Hulu, Netflix, and Paramount+ shared NCIS took ninth with 790 million viewing minutes.
The final position belonged to Criminal Minds, shared between Hulu and Paramount+, accounting for 777 million minutes viewed.
