Ticker: Gayle King Opens up About Her Spaceflight

Top of the Ticker: CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King is “still processing” the fact she will be embarking on an all-female crew spaceflight.
“I’ll be ready Monday morning, I promise,” King told CBS Mornings’ featured host Vladimir Duthiers in a new interview. “But I still have a ways to go before I’m like, ‘Okay, put me in, coach. Let’s go.”
King will be joined by Katy Perry, Lauren Sánchez, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianne Flynn aboard a Blue Origin flight that’s lifting off from Van Horn, Texas. CBS News will offer special coverage of the historic mission beginning at 9 a.m. ET on Monday.
In just three days, @gayleking will go to space aboard a Blue Origin rocket with the first all-female space crew.
