URBAN-X is the venture accelerator for startups reimagining city life. The program educates, invests in and advocates for companies shaping the future of cities through technology and design. We’re currently looking for a talented freelance communication designer to support us for a period of 4 weeks in Arpil 2019.
Role Details
URBAN-X is looking for a talented communication designer to visually develop investor pitch presentations for seven urban tech startups of their current class. The designer will work closely with the URBAN-X art director to create a range of visual assets (such as infographics and iconography) and to incorporate those assets into highly compelling presentation slides adding copy, imagery, and other elements.
The engagement will be contract-based, start on April 1st, 2019 and run for approximately 4 weeks or 65 hours. The distribution of those hours among the four weeks is subject to discussion, based on the designer’s availability. Within those 65 hours, the designer will work on seven separate pitch presentation decks, each including around 15 individual slides.
Skill/Attributes Required
The applicant is highly skilled in creating compelling and concise screen content that visually supports a cohesive narrative. They are highly familiar with common desktop publishing and design packages such as Adobe CC as well as presentation software such as Microsoft Powerpoint or Apple Keynote.
