Role Details
Working closely with the Creative and Design department, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the production, and creation of a diverse range of projects across big, exciting brands, such as Defence Force Recruiting, Monash University, Australian Unity and a roster of Victorian government clients.
We encourage your passion and enthusiasm for Visual Communication, and all things creative. All Designers at VMLY&R are responsible for the final product, and you will take pride in delivering a high-level product for our clients
– Generate concepts and visual ideation for campaigns and ideas
– Being closely involved in the rollout and production
of campaigns on both small and large scale
– To be of all around help all things Design at VMLYR
Skill/Attributes Required
– Willingness to jump in and have a go, and a willingness to develop and grow and learn from a highly experienced team of creatives and designers
– Detail orientated, with a keen eye for consistency, and craft
– Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual communication, new media or related
field preferable
– 6 months to 1 year of experience in an advertising, marketing, design business is strongly beneficial but not a dealbreaker
– Understanding of design principles needed to execute a wide variety of materials
– A working knowledge in the following tools: Adobe Cloud (Photoshop – InDesign – Illustrator Not mandatory, as there is opportunity to learn, After Effects, Sketch, Invision, Atomic, Principle Jira, Prototyping Tools (Swift/Marvel/Flinto), Atlasssian Suite, Slack, HTML/JS/CSS
– Understanding of brand hierarchy and how this impacts the work
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills
– Ability to keep up with evolving trends and technology as needed
