Watch Donald Trump’s Univision Town Hall

Former President Donald Trump took the stage on Wednesday night to hear from Latino voters during a town hall hosted by Univision.
The event aired nearly a week after the Republican candidate’s Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, took part in her own Univision town hall. Trump was originally scheduled to appear on the Spanish-language network last week, but delayed his town hall due to coverage of Hurricane Milton.
Wednesday night’s event was held in Doral, FL and was moderated by Enrique Acevedo, who provided the former president with an opportunity to engage undecided Latino voters and explain his hard stance on immigration and other issues that concern them.
One audience member, Jorge Velázquez, asked the former president about the tough jobs done by undocumented immigrants and who would do them if they were all deported.

Another undecided voter, Ramiro González, asked Trump how he would win his vote back considering his actions surrounding the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

During the town hall, the former president made additional false claims about Haitian migrants in Springfield, OH—a topic he brought up during ABC News’ presidential debate with Harris.
Asked by audience member José Saralegui whether he believed that “these people are eating the people’s pets,” Trump responded: “I was just saying what was reported that’s been reported and eating other things, too, that they’re not supposed to be.”

This was Trump’s second town hall on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, Fox News aired an event with the candidate that was geared toward women voters.
FNC’s pre-recorded town hall took place at Reid Barn in Cummings, GA, and was moderated by Harris Faulkner. The issue of the Haitian migrants also came up during that event, with Trump alleging that 30,000 “illegal aliens” were dropped in Springfield, a claim that was quickly corrected by Faulkner. “They are here legally,” she noted.
