WWE Taps Chase Freedom as Presenting Partner of First-Ever Two-Night SummerSlam

WWE SummerSlam is almost here, and Chase Freedom is coming along for the ride.

Though this will be the 38th WWE SummerSlam, it will be the first time the annual event is hosted over two nights at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Aug. 2 and Aug. 3. It will also be the first time that financial brand Chase Freedom is collaborating with WWE as a presenting partner and the official credit card of the annual event.

For guests attending the event, Chase Freedom is providing early access to the WWE Superstore for Freedom card members as well as special VIP entrance into MetLife Stadium.

Other events that Chase Freedom is sponsoring include the Countdown to SummerSlam Live lookalike contest and the Dominik Mysterio SummerSlam vlog series.

According to the WWE, the organization is trying to continue unlocking new categories for sponsorship deals and finding creative ways to give brands visibility, as well as making integrations feel seamless.

“Ahead of the first-ever two-night SummerSlam, WWE’s partnership with Chase Freedom creates exciting opportunities for organic integrations throughout the weekend and top-notch benefits for their existing members,” Grant Norris-Jones, evp and head of global partnerships, TKO Group Holdings, told ADWEEK in a statement.

Wittney Rachlin, general manager, Chase Freedom, said WWE SummerSlam is a perfect example of how the financial company is going beyond traditional rewards.

“Whether it’s exclusive presales for the best seats, Fast Lane entry into MetLife Stadium to skip the crowds, early access to the WWE Superstore, or surprise-and-delight gifts with purchase, we want our cardmembers to experience WWE’s biggest weekend of the summer like the greatest cash backers they are,” Rachlin said. “We’re proud to fuel fandom for Freedom cardmembers while they earn cash back on everyday spending—it’s a win-win that brings fans closer to the action they love most.”

The partnership continues a trend for WWE.

Over the past year, WWE has been leaning into its brand partnerships and sponsors amid a surge in popularity and viewership. For instance, WWE and Slim Jim announced in June an extension of their 2023 multi-layered partnership, with Slim Jim becoming the center ring sponsor during every edition of WWE’s weekly flagship program, Monday Night RAW, which streams globally on Netflix.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Netflix announced it sold out its ad inventory for WWE RAW title sponsorships throughout the next few quarters and partnered with several brands like Snickers, Cricket Wireless, Intuit TurboTax, Wingstop, MinuteMaid, and more.
