Solutions Not Sides is a charity with a flagship programme that exists to provide humanising encounters, diverse narratives and critical-thinking tools in order to empower young people with the knowledge, empathy and skills to promote dialogue and conflict resolution, and to challenge prejudice in the UK.
With a growing network of schools and youth groups across the UK and beyond, but with many more we still need to reach, we need a Graphic Designer to support our work developing exciting and informative graphics for use across various platforms and mediums:
– Creating social media graphics for use across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
– Creating infographics to illustrate the impact of our work or for informative resources for teachers and young people to utilise.
– Editing photos for use in campaigns and marketing materials
– Creating posters & flyers for use in digital and, occasionally, print campaigns
– Supporting the general work of the Digital Communications Manager
The role would be ideal for someone starting out in the industry, working to build up their portfolio and client base.
The role is remote based, as the SNS team largely works remotely. We would like the chosen candidate to start as soon as possible. The work is ongoing and on an ad-hoc basis and we can expect levels of work to vary throughout the academic year, though we would aim to offer a minimum of one or two days a month, and likely more depending on campaign activity levels.

The desirable skills you will have are:
– Ability to work as part of a team and independently
– Creativity and innovation
– Proficiency in graphic illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
– Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop
