In a nutshell…
We are looking for a graphic designer to join the team at our head office in Goonellabah, in the luscious hinterland of Northern NSW. The role is part time, 3 days per week. Due to the nature of the role, working from home is not an option. Salary will be determined on the candidate’s experience.

Role Details

A design job like no other…
Armsign are anything but your average sign company. We imagine, design and manufacture custom signage and structures that tell stories, inspire curiosity and enhance public spaces. Think giant sculptural structures, life-sized lettering, bespoke interpretation signage, interactive digital displays and everything in between.
Under the one roof, our designers steer the creative process from concept development through to layout and finished art before handing over to the production team, who bring those designs to life. The reward of seeing your creative ideas manufactured is immensely satisfying and one of the unique perks of this role.

Responsibilities include:
• Designing concepts and innovative signage solutions for a broad range of clients and projects.
• Taking a creative brief from development through to finished art stage, ready for manufacture.
• Create artwork based on established style guides and templates.
• Ensuring all design work is scheduled and delivered within the required time frames.
• Liaising closely with clients regarding project objectives, expectations, management, schedules and quality.

Skill/Attributes Required

The ideal candidate will have:
• Industry experience as a graphic designer and preferably tertiary qualifications (certificate or degree) in Graphic Design or equivalent. If you’re a junior designer with limited experience, don’t be shy! Provided you have the right attitude, willingness to learn and a few portfolio examples, you will still be considered for the role.
• Natural creativity with a flair for creating engaging and accessible designs.
• A fine eye for detail as proofing artwork for print is a daily task.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels both within and external to the organisation.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, as you will be managing multiple projects at any time.
• A passion for design and a desire to continue to develop creatively.
• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).

Other skills you should mention if you have them include: illustration, video editing, web design, social media content creation, experience in structural/landscape/metal design.
