Google has updated the page experience report in Google Search Console to show more of an informational page, with links to the same reports. “The Search Console Page Experience report is evolving to help site owners consider page experience more holistically as part of the content creation process,” Google wrote.
Google told us months ago that this would be happening. Google has removed the:
- Page experience report from Search Console
- Good page experience search appearance filter from the Performance report in Search Console
What it looks like. Google has updated the page experience report overview page to look like this:
What else changed. Google also noted, “Update on November 8, 2023: We’re also retiring the Good page experience search appearance filter from the Performance report, as page experience has evolved to include more aspects than just Core Web Vitals and HTTPS. To allow time for adjusting your API calls, support for this search appearance filter in the Search Console API will be removed in 180 days.”
Google removed:
- The page experience search appearance filter was removed from the Performance report
- The API will remove this data in 180 days
Why we care. You may have relied on this report for some of your SEO work. With these changes, you will need to adapt some of your reporting practices going forward.
Ultimately, don’t get bogged down with this page experience report.
