Trevor Birchett has been named chief meteorologist for ABC affiliate WATN in Memphis, Tennessee.

Birchett started working at the station in May of 2021.

“This is a title and a role that I don’t take lightly,” he wrote on social media. “Working to keep you and your family safe and informed in serious weather is the most important thing we do, and it is truly an honor to know that so many of you choose to trust us when severe weather strikes. I am so appreciative of the management team at ABC24 for trusting in me to lead our team as we continue to fulfill that mission every day.”
