The WGN morning news team said ‘Hello’ to the station’s new news director, Akemi Harrison in typical morning news-fashion.

Harrison was greeted on her first day at the station by Samba dancers, miniature horses and a polka band, among many other guests.

Akemi comes from Chicago NBC owned station WMAQ and Telemundo Chicago.
