Streaming Ratings, Week of September 22: Netflix’s Black Rabbit Leaps to No. 1

Jason Bateman and Jude Law’s cutthroat thriller, Black Rabbit, earned first-place honors in Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of September 22.

The Netflix miniseries leaped from its second-place position the previous week to lead the chart with 1.26 billion viewing minutes. It was also the only title in the chart to finish above the billion-viewing-minute mark.

According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, Netflix accounted for six titles in the chart, two of which had shared distribution rights. This week’s chart featured three titles with shared distribution rights.

Making its debut at No. 2 was Netflix’s Wayward, with 846 million viewing minutes. The Canadian mystery thriller was a hit with the Adults 35-49 demo, which accounted for 31% of the title’s total viewing audience.

Thanks to its devoted audience, KPop Demon Hunters maintains its top-five presence on the chart, rising one spot to third place with 746 million viewing minutes.

It was followed by Paramount+’s SpongeBob SquarePants, which rose two spots with 744 million minutes viewed. Disney+’s Bluey rounded out the top five with 711 million viewing minutes.

The latter half of the chart featured Netflix’s Wednesday at No. 6, accounting for 698 million minutes viewed for the week of September 22. It was followed by The Big Bang Theory from HBO Max, which returned to the chart with 679 million viewing minutes.

In eighth place was the Hulu/Netflix/Paramount+ shared title NCIS, earning 666 million minutes viewed. At No. 9 was Doc with the Hulu/Netflix shared title, having 657 million viewing minutes.

Taking the final spot was another shared title, Law & Order from Hulu/Peacock, with 643 million minutes viewed.
