Ticker: José Díaz-Balart to Co-Host New Program on Noticias Telemundo Ahora

Top of the Ticker: NBC Nightly News Saturday anchor José Díaz-Balart is taking on expanded responsibilities at Noticias Telemundo, where he will co-host Ahora 360 alongside Arantxa Loizaga on the 24/7 streaming news FAST channel Noticias Telemundo Ahora.  

Set to premiere in early 2026 and airing Monday through Thursday, Ahora 360 will feature social, political, and cultural stories impacting the Latino community.

Díaz-Balart will also host Dateline in Spanish on Telemundo beginning in January. He will contribute to the program while continuing his duties on Nightly News.

Network appointments: David Rohde is moving from NBC News to MSNBC, where he will be their senior national security reporter. The two-time Pulitzer Prize winner for International Reporting and the author of five books was previously a senior executive editor for national security and law at NBC News.

Meanwhile, NBC News announced the appointments of Carol Lee and Colleen Long to the roles of managing editor, national security, and editorial director, national security, respectively. Lee was previously the news network’s Washington managing editor, while Long served as a senior editor on the enterprise team.  

Finally, Fox Business Network has named Darren Botelho a Washington, D.C. correspondent. He was previously a weekend evening anchor at ABC affiliate WLNE-TV (ABC6) in Providence, Rhode Island.

Show Premiere: CNN announced that its new Los Angeles-based news show, The Story Is with Elex Michaelson, will premiere on Monday, October 27, at 12 a.m. ET. California Gov. Gavin Newsom will be Michaelson’s first guest on the nightly show, which features live panels and debates showcasing a range of voices.
