The Trade Desk’s Jeff Green was far and away the highest paid CEO among the top publicly traded adtech companies last year, according to a dataset of regulatory filings compiled by executive intelligence firm Equilar and reviewed by ADWEEK. The dataset included 22 companies out of which 15 were major adtech companies like AppLovin and Criteo. Seven were agency holding companies including Omnicom and Publicis.

Green’s total compensation stretched to $27.4 million, SEC records show. That’s 53.8% higher than the median compensation of an S&P 500 CEO.

Compensation among publicly traded adtech CEOs was relatively stable from 2024 to 2025, though a handful of major outliers reshaped the rankings, the data indicates.
