It’s an amazing app, available now on all major app stores and platforms, and we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to impress our users.
About the internship
This is a paid 2018 summer internship for 3 months (depending on your academic commitments).
Do you want to help build one of the best apps in the world? Are you always curious about the needs of users and passionate about design and technology? Are you studying towards a great degree in interaction design, human computer interaction, web design, or a related field, and have an outstanding portfolio you can share with us? Then look no further! Shazam are looking for a Design Intern in 2018.
You will help define the user model and user interface for new and existing Shazam features. You will also gauge the usability of new and existing products and make constructive suggestions for change. Working closely with our product management team, you will help to better inform designs through users’ point of view and help deliver designs for Shazam features. You will also learn how to ensure our products are intuitive, accessible and usable to our millions of users.
You will be working in a real live environment on cool projects, on an app that’s used by millions of people around the world. The internship will develop some to all of these skills: interaction design, visual design, information architecture, content analysis, user research and mobile and web design. Sound exciting? Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who can work comfortably in an agile environment, is a self-starter, and who would relish learning new things
You preferably have experience in designing mobile and web interfaces
You’ll be working closely with the Shazam product management team. A great presentation style, teamwork, and communication skills are must have’s.
You are competent with using Adobe Creative suite products
You are keen and able to learn new packages
You have experience in designing usable mobile and/or web-based interfaces
You have strong and clean visual design sense
You have excellent teamwork and communication skills
