Do you have a flair for design and a passion for Digital Marketing?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen, to join our Marketing Team as Marketing Designer and Executive. Following an internal restructure, we have taken on a Director of Marketing and Engagement who will provide dynamic and creative management of all internal and external communications and associated teams, which include Marketing, Admissions and College Gateway (Reception teams), with an aim to enhance the brand awareness of Bishop’s Stortford College and further its regional and national profile.
Reporting to our new Director of Marketing and Engagement, this role will work alongside our Communications Coordinator, and within the College Professional Services teams. The successful applicant will take front-line responsibility for managing the design, production, and continuing improvement of multi-media communications and will be key in designing, and embedding a College-wide re-brand. The successful candidate will have the design skills and experience to visually set us apart. This role will take the lead in conveying the College ‘voice’ through all design including but not limited to our website, social media, communications and printed marketing materials.

Skill/Attributes Required
• Interest in education and learning in its widest sense
• Demonstrable experience of using a Mac and common Mac applications
• Familiar with Microsoft Windows & MS Office 2007
• Familiar with common PC applications (i.e. Adobe Reader)
• Working experience of using web editing software and tools e.g. Dreamweaver, Frontpage, WordPress.
• Demonstrable working experience of graphic design using tools including Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Demonstrable experience of using social media in a professional capacity
• Familiar with principles of customer care
• Excellent writing skills. Specifically a talent for concise, readable prose that is suitable and optimised for the web
• Able to promote the department in a professional manner
• Able to work under pressure
• Ability to prioritise and escalate work schedules
• Advanced IT skills with particular knowledge and experience of using content management systems
