Brad Edwards is going back to work in local TV after leaving WOI in Des Moines in January.
The former chief meteorologist will start work at Des Moines NBC affiliate WHO at the beginning of July as a contributor.
He first worked in local TV doing morning weather cut-ins at WOI. After taking broadcast meteorology jobs in Florida, Kansas, and The Weather Channel in Atlanta, he came back to central Iowa. He was the chief meteorologist at WOI for more than 28 years.
Edwards told the Des Moines Register he “loved the break” and added, “”It’s a mutual agreement,” Edwards said. “I really don’t want to be full-time necessarily. So this is perfect.”
