We are looking for a creative designer and team player to join our design team. This is a maternity leave cover fixed-term contract role in our Marketing & Design team, suitable for a qualified graphic designer seeking a first or second
job. We need someone able to integrate the application of standard graphic design packages (mainly Adobe Creative Suite) with PowerPoint for the production of qualitative and quantitative market research reports as well as varied marketing campaigns.
The Marketing & Design team, led by the Marketing Director, provides design and marketing services to our research teams, who are effectively our internal clients. We help researchers bring their data and analysis to life for the brands
who commission the research. The design deliverables could be for both internal and external clients, as well as for marketing to our client markets. We also support other BVA Group companies in the UK and overseas.
As well as reports, the team produces marketing collateral, infographics, motion graphics and video. Our designs must be credible, clear and engaging.
Key responsibilities
• Create and enhance proposals, credentials, presentations and research reports with infographics, illustration, bespoke graphics, charts and data tables
• Creation and design of marketing documents and collateral
• Video and audio editing
• General administrative duties from time to time in support of the Marketing & Design team
The salary will be competitive.
Skill/Attributes Required
The successful candidate is likely to be a graphic design graduate (or similar) looking for a first or second job.
You must have the following attributes:
• Creative flair, and conceptual thinker with originality and a strong visual sense
• An interest in data visualisation
• Strong layout skills
• Keeps abreast of new design trends/techniques
• An understanding of branding
• Well organised, adaptable, flexible and able to help with short notice requests with tide deadline
• Ability to work both independently or collaboratively, with excellent communication skills
• Video editing and motion graphic skill would be advantageous
You must be proficient in the following design software:
• Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign are the key, other Adobe Creative Suite programs are advantageous
• PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs
