Role Details
EMD Digital is a boutique web design agency located in Sandringham (just up from Sandy beach). Established in 2015, we work with SMB’s across a large range of industries including: Property, Construction, FMCG, Allied Health, Trades, Professional Services, eCommerce, Hospitality, Tourism and more.
Since the pandemic hit in March 2020, we have seen a rise in web design projects coming though our agency and are now looking to further grow and expand our team and are looking for a young, passionate and driven individual that wants to join us on this wave of success.
As we currently have 2 Shillumni in our design team, we are now on the search for our next design gun to join the team!
Skill/Attributes Required
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
Required Skills:
– Adobe suite experience (Illustrator, Photoshop etc)
– Experience using Webflow & WIX website building platforms highly desirable
– Experience using digital design software eg: FIGMA highly desirable
– Basic HTML / CSS knowledge highly desirable
– An eye for design a necessity
– Ability to design logos and branding collateral for digital application
– Passionate about digital design trends
Personal Skills:
– You can adapt to a small team environment
– Be open to learning on the job and expanding on your experience
– You have the right attitude and can follow direction & creative feedback
– Ability to use your initiative and work autonomously but ask for guidance when required
– You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in your designs
– You get excited about web design and intuitively understand standard design practice
– You’ll put the client first and are happy to make any changes they request
– Leave your ego at home, we have a strict “no wanker” policy 🙂
What You’ll Need:
– A portfolio of work – something to show us that will prove to us that you “just get it” when it comes to design
– A resume in PDF format that shows off your design skills and one that will make you stand out from the crowd
– At least one website that you’ve designed (ideal but not necessary)
– Willingness to complete a design test to validate your skills
