MSNBC continues to build out its on-air roster, announcing the hiring of Maya Eaglin as a reporter.

Eaglin joins MSNBC from NBC News, where she was a correspondent and one of the co-hosts of the network’s Gen-Z-focused social news show, Stay Tuned.

She was one of the youngest on-air talents at NBC News, with Stay Tuned having over 10 million subscribers across TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and Instagram. Eaglin’s news reports have aired across Nightly News, Today, NBC News Now, MSNBC, and NBCNews.com. Earlier this year, she was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient and has received a Gracie Award, three Front Page Awards, and two Hearst Awards.

Earlier this month, MSNBC began its independent newsgathering efforts for national and international news, with the exception of Washington, D.C.-based coverage, which the network will continue to rely on from NBC News until October 19.

To bolster its D.C. presence, the network announced the hiring of Kevin Frey, who will serve as a Congress reporter. Frey was previously with Spectrum News NY1, where he was a Washington correspondent.

In addition to Eaglin and Frey, MSNBC also announced Fallon Gallagher, Jillian Frankel, and Laura Haefeli are joining the network in various reporter/producer roles.

Gallagher, who was also previously with NBC News, becomes the network’s legal affairs reporter/producer, while Haefeli and Frankel take on reporter/producer roles in New York and Los Angeles, respectively. Haefeli was previously a CBS News Boston reporter, and Frankel joins MSNBC from People, where she was a staff writer.
