It’s Aaron Silva’s job to know how to simmer a good campaign as assistant director of advertising operations at Exverus by Brainlabs. But at home just outside of Los Angeles, Silva tends real fires, checking thermometers and chasing the perfect char as the pitmaster of Big Evil Barbecue.
“People make all kinds of assumptions,” Silva said of the name. Its totally innocent origin is in his childhood, when WWE’s The Undertaker was 8-year-old Silva’s favorite wrestler. “One of his personas was Big Evil,” a mysterious, spooky, strong character that “kind of matched my whole vibe.” (Silva also grew up to be a fan of horror films and ride a Harley-Davidson, both also associated with The Undertaker, so the impression made by Big Evil runs deep.)
