New Year’s Eve festivities are typically the climax of the holiday season, and after an eventful 2024, the major news networks have big plans for ushering in 2025.
Here’s your guide to all the New Year’s programming on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. (All times Eastern)
ABC News
- ABC will broadcast Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest from Times Square beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
- On Jan. 1, Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts hosts The Year: 2024 at 9 p.m. The two-hour special will revisit the previous year’s most memorable moments, from historic news events to social trends.

CNN
- Once again, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are helming sure-to-be-raucous New Year’s Eve coverage from Times Square starting at 8 p.m. But CNN’s New Year’s coverage will actually begin at 7 a.m. with live reports from various international cities as the clock strikes midnight in their respective time zones.
- The network’s celebration will conclude with Sara Sidner, Harry Enten, and Cari Champion taking over at 12:30 a.m. from Auditorium Shores in Austin, TX.

Fox News
- Fox News’ primetime coverage starts at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 with Who Can Forget 2024, which features special network guests discussing the year’s memorable moments. That leads into A New Year with Kat & Tyrus at 9 p.m. with Fox News contributors Tyrus and Kat Timpf looking back on the year that was.
- Jimmy Failla’s All-American New Year’s Bash guides viewers into the New Year starting at 11 p.m. Failla will be joined by an array of special guests as the count down the minutes until 2025.
