Happy Friday to all who celebrate!

In this week’s edition of stories we didn’t write for one reason or another, we hear about the passing of a longtime Denver journalist. We also noticed that two stations had transmitter issues, which is kinda weird enough to write about.

Anyhoo, let’s do this:

Two stations had transmitter problems this week. KSAT in San Antonio told viewers its outage was caused by a third party – not sure what that means. Click here for that story.

In Florida, WTXL in Tallahassee also had a transmitter issue. Click here for that.

Tim Wieland, president and general manager of CBS’ KCNC Denver, has been promoted to regional general manager at CBS News and Stations, Jennifer Mitchell, president, CBS Television Stations (West and Midwest) said on Wednesday. In his expanded role, Wieland will move to Los Angeles to oversee KCBS and KCAL, while also maintaining oversight of KCNC.

Sports anchor Aaron Ladd is heading home. Ladd on Monday announced his departure from Kansas City’s KSHB (Ch. 41) on Monday with a message on social media. Click here for more.

Justina Latimer has left KPRC 2 Houston and her morning traffic anchor job no longer exists as of September 2024, sources tell mikemcguff.com.  Click here to see what mister McGuff had to say.

In Denver, longtime journalist Ward Lucas (pictured) who was an investigative reporter and anchor at 9NEWS for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2009, died Sunday at age 75. Click here for more.

KMSP in Minneapolis has a new traffic reporter. Lauren Andrego joined the Fox 9 Good Day team for a little “get to know you chat”. Click here to watch.
