KCAL morning anchor Rudabeh Shahbazi has revealed that she has non-hodgkin lymphoma.

Shahbazi spoke with her doctor on-air about her diagnosis, warning signs and treatments. “Whether you’re the one going through the shock of a recent diagnosis or you’re feeling helpless watching a loved one struggle, know you’re not alone,” she said.

She posted video to social media by saying, “Friends, some news to share. As Rumi said, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” Feeling all your love and support. Grateful for life’s abundant gifts.”

She joined the KCAL morning news in November 2022 after working as one of the original anchors and national correspondents for the cable news network NewsNation, based in Chicago.
