On Wednesday, the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial concluded with a verdict finding him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and not guilty on two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and one count of racketeering conspiracy.

As the verdict was being read, CNN’s Elie Honig called it an “enormous win for the defense,” as Combs avoided serving serious jail time after being found guilty on only the lesser charges.

The seven-week trial, which took place without any live camera presence inside the federal New York courtroom, still generated considerable interest due to Combs’ status as a mogul.

Following the conclusion of the trial, ABC News and CBS News have scheduled primetime specials for Wednesday night, re-examining the trial and verdict.

Verdict: The Diddy Trial will air at 10 p.m. ET on ABC News, providing a detailed overview of the charges against Combs. The program features expert analysis from ABC News legal contributor and defense attorney Brian Buckmire, criminal trial attorney Sarah Azari, culture writer Touré, ABC News chief investigative correspondent Aaron Katersky, and legal analyst Eboni K. Williams

The special, using actor reenactments, will reconstruct the most pivotal courtroom moments and take viewers behind the verdict, laying out what will come next for the high-profile personality.

Over at CBS News, Sean “Diddy” Combs: The Verdict will air on its streaming network, CBS News 24/7, at 9 p.m. ET, hosted by CBS Weekend News anchor Jericka Duncan

The special examines the seven-week trial, including the explosive testimonies, and what led to Combs’ arrest and federal charges. Duncan will interview several experts who offer in-depth analysis on the case’s implications and its fallout.

Some of the featured guests in the broadcast include Darryl James, co-founder of Rap Sheet and author of “Becoming Diddy: The Making of Sean John Combs, From Mogul to Monster;” Bonsu Thompson, music writer and producer; Cynthia Horner, publisher Right On magazine and veteran hip hop journalist; Terri Austin, attorney and legal analyst; Judie Saunders, attorney specializing in sexual abuse; Symone Redwine, attorney, legal analyst and reality TV star; Thema Bryant, psychologist and Pepperdine University professor; and Tre Johnson, race and culture writer.
