Publicis Media-owned agency Spark Foundry has nabbed two Omnicom Media Group (OMG) executives to join its investment practice.

Kelly Metz, who left her role as chief investment officer at OMD last week, joins Spark Foundry as chief investment officer (CIO), tasked with defining and driving investment strategy across platforms and audiences.

She joined Omnicom Media Group in 2021 as managing director of advanced TV activation before becoming OMD’s CIO in November 2023.

Spark Foundry’s current CIO Lisa Giacosa will transition to the new role of global client lead and chief transformation officer, where she will drive innovation for clients across the agency. She has been with Spark Foundry for more than seven years, following a stint at Kimberly-Clark.

In addition, another OMG exec, Anthony Dario, joins Spark Foundry as executive vice president, video investment, responsible for negotiating and stewarding national video buys. He had been with OMG for four years prior, most recently as managing director of enterprise partnerships, following nearly five years at Horizon Media.

The two hires come after OMD announced last week that it has brought over two Publicis Groupe executives: Zenith evp of partnerships Dan Rolli joined to fill the CIO role left vacant by Metz, while Starcom exec Kim Einan came onboard as chief strategy officer.

Meanwhile, Kendra Hatcher King steps into the new role of global chief design officer at Spark Foundry after four years at Accenture Song. She returns to Publicis, where she spent several years prior in a variety of roles, to build and launch the media agency’s new design practice.

“Kelly has a tremendous reputation for leading integrated, consumer-centric, and performance-driven strategies across all areas of investment,” Spark Foundry global CEO Sarah Kramer said in a statement. “She is passionate about delivering the best connected-data solutions that can enable a more informed competitive advantage for clients in the marketplace and inspire bigger experiences and ideas.”

Kramer added, “Her leadership, alongside Anthony’s proven expertise in cross-platform video strategies, will bolster and elevate our investment practice, while Kendra’s unique background is well-positioned to unify our capabilities and product across data-enabled audience development, content, and media planning work.”
