Portraiture has been an important medium of photography since the 19th century. This exhibition features work from the ICP collection centered around the theme of the different ways the subject presents themselves through studio portraits, snapshots and documentary photographs. Through the work on display, the exhibit “offers the opportunity to investigate the ways photography shapes our ideas about ourselves and others.”
