Samsung’s Galaxy S Light Luxury is a budget S8 for China

A lite version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been rumored for some time now, and the new device has officially launched in China, as spotted by SamMobile. Instead of being known simply as the Galaxy S8 Lite, Samsung has opted for a mouthful of “Galaxy S Light Luxury.” The new phone is a trimmed-down version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8 device specs-wise, but it still retains the same design, physical Bixby button, and awkwardly positioned fingerprint scanner.

The 5.8-inch “infinity” display has an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution. Inside, there’s a Snapdragon 660 chip (the S8 has a Snapdragon 835 chip), 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. The front camera and rear cameras boast 8 megapixels and 16 megapixels, respectively, and the…
