
Whitney Ward is is leaving KREM in Spokane, Washington after 12 years. She was an evening anchor and investigative reporter at the Spokane, Washington CBS affiliate.
“These last 12 years at KREM have been such an honor, and serving as one of the evening anchors was the privilege of my career,” Ward said. “Leaving was a very difficult decision because I’m so emotionally attached to this place. This team is like my second family. I’m really proud of the work I’ve done at KREM over the years. And I know that tremendous commitment to journalism will continue. I’m staying in Spokane. I love the Inland Northwest. I’m just taking on a different role. And I look forward to spending more time with my family.”
Ward started working at the station in 2013. She started her career at KFYR, the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota and as the evening anchor at WKBN in Youngstown, Ohio before joining KEPR in the Washington’s Tri-Cities.

The station said she has taken a public relations role for a tech company in Post Falls.
