We’re looking for a highly creative Lead UX/UI Designer who loves to innovate, experiment, surprise, delight, and have fun with design.
Role Details
Stylindex was selected for tech accelerators Y-Combinator, Entrepreneur First, Seedcamp, and Techstars, and we have just raised a round of $1M+ in seed funding, with investment from fashion industry VCs.
Our current site looks like a relatively simple database, but we have many cool features & functions in the pipeline.
About the role:
> You will be our first Design Lead, so you will have a chance to set the tone for design as we build our brand and design team.
> Stylindex’s users are the world’s leading visual creatives, so you will be encouraged to push boundaries, develop new design trends, and have fun.
> You will collaborate with the CEO and a team of enthusiastic engineers. We are a small team of fun, passionate people, looking to do something that has never been done in our industry.
Responsibilities
> Establish visual creative direction for all products.
> Ship world class interfaces.
> Design wireframes, prototypes, interaction studies, and polished visual interfaces.
> Make decisions on a variety of matters consistent with goals and objectives.
> Manages personal duties and areas of responsibility on a day-to-day basis with periodic assistance and direction from others.
> Assignments range from focused to broad in nature and scope.
> May play significant role in marketing, customer outreach, correspondence, training, and culture building activities.
Skill/Attributes Required
Technical requirements
> Fluency in best practices for responsive web design.
> Strong knowledge of information architecture.
> Mastery of Sketch.
> Careful attention to details, pixel perfection and visual form.
> Knowledge of rapid prototyping tools, such as InVision.
> Working knowledge of interactive or motion design.
> Experience working with engineers.
> Understanding of the technical development process, or ability to code a plus.
