Australian telecom brand Telstra took home the Grand Prix in Film Craft for its emotional and visually stunning ad, “Better on a Better Network.” The festival also honored Grand Prix winners in Digital Craft, Industry Craft, and Design.
Film Craft Lions
Telstra won the Grand Prix in the Film Craft category. “Better on a Better Network” was created by Bear Meets Eagle on Fire and produced by Revolver and Biscuit Filmworks Sydney. It weaves cinematic storytelling with rich stop-motion animation to illustrate how Telstra’s network enhances everyday experiences. The spot stood out for its precision in creativity, cinematography, and production design.
Digital Craft and Design Lions
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences won the Grand Prix in both Digital Craft and Design. “Caption With Intention,” created by FCB Chicago, reimagines closed captioning as a tool for creative expression. Instead of default subtitles, the campaign used expertly crafted captions that conveyed tone, emotion, and style—enhancing accessibility while elevating the viewer experience. The work exemplified how digital craftsmanship can expand inclusivity and storytelling.
Industry Craft Lions
Idomed won the Grand Prix in Industry Craft. Brazilian agency Artplan created “Nigrum Corpus” for pharmaceutical brand Idomed, using rich, haunting visuals to convey the hidden emotional toll of chronic pain. Through high-detail production and symbolic imagery, the campaign elevated product advertising into a visceral artistic experience.
