AI is powering transformative change in retail media 

AI’s influence on retail media is in its infancy, but both panelists shared their excitement about the potential it can unlock.

“The power of AI to create personalized experiences changes the game for brand builders,” said Hagopian. “It’s no longer batch-based campaigns that you run one at a time. It really is a continuous flow of communication, content, ideas, sensing, listening, responding, adjusting, and optimizing in real time based on the signals that are available.” 

Ma shared his hope that retail marketers will also use AI for more than just increasing conversion. “There have to be other ways that scale and automation through agentic can help us create better member experiences, because after all, we exist to serve customers and members.”
