
Top of the Ticker: NBC News’ true crime magazine show Dateline is hitting the road for what is billed as a first-of-its-kind live event. Dateline Live will take place on Sunday, September 28, in Nashville, Tennessee, and will feature Lester Holt, Blayne Alexander, Andrea Canning, Josh Mankiewicz, Keith Morrison, and Dennis Murphy. True crime fans will be treated to on-stage panels, audience Q&As, and a VIP reception with the team. Tickets for Dateline Live will go on sale on Tuesday, August 5, at 8 a.m. ET.

Also joining the live event space arena is CNN, with the launch of Global Perspectives. This event convenes leaders and visionaries to tackle the world’s emerging challenges and showcase opportunities for action. The first edition, Global Perspectives: On Africa, focuses on some of the world’s fastest-growing economies on the continent. Taking place in London on November 3, the event will be opened by CNN’s Chairman & CEO, Sir Mark Thompson, with sessions curated and moderated by Christiane Amanpour, Richard Quest, Zain Asher, Jim Sciutto, and Larry Madowo.

Program Addition: Telemundo is adding a news show to its morning lineup as it will simulcast Noticias Telemundo Ahora, anchored by Damià Bonmatí and Claudia de la Fuente at 7 a.m. ET, beginning Monday, August 4. The morning show, which airs on the network’s 24/7 streaming news FAST channel, will feature the latest headlines, interviews with key newsmakers, and weather forecasts.
