If you haven’t heard of John Stezaker – he’s bringing his catalogue of work to the Whitworth in Manchester.
Stezaker’s use of collage changed the word and brought it into the forefront of contemporary art. He uses images found in books, magazines and postcards – using them as ‘readymades’. Here, he redefines these images through his own juxtapositions to convey his own contexts.
The exhibition is on until June 2018.
