(UK) Magic Realism in Weimar Germany

The exhibition focuses in on Weimar Germany from 1919-33 and explores the artwork of Otto Dix, George Grosz, Albert Birkle and Jeanne Mammen. The term was originally created by the artist and critic Franz Roh in 1925 to describe the fluid social experience, emotion and magic. In this exhibition, there are over 75 illustrations on view, exploring different themes—the circus, street, faith and cabaret.
